Job Title: House Manager & Family Assistant
Location: Huntersville, NC 28078
Employment Type: Part-Time | 15-20 hours per week
Schedule: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday | 12:00 PM - 4:00 PM
Compensation: $32-35 per hour, based on experience
Start Date: By August 2026
We're a warm, close-knit household with two school-aged children, two cats, and a dog potentially joining the family later this year. Both parents are working professionals with busy careers; our days are full and fast-moving. Between school schedules, work commitments, and everything in between, our home has a lot of energy and a lot of moving parts.
Our household runs on thoughtful systems, and we're open to someone who brings fresh ideas while respecting what's already working. We are looking for a trusted person to join our village — someone the kids are comfortable around and someone we can count on. We're not looking for someone to just check boxes; we're looking for someone who takes pride in the work and genuinely makes our lives easier.
We believe a well-run home makes everything else possible. When the laundry is done, the fridge is stocked, and the kitchen is clean, the whole family exhales. That's the feeling we're chasing — calm, order, and confidence that the details are handled. We're looking for someone who genuinely takes things off our plate.
The areas where we feel it most are the everyday things that seem small but stack up fast: dishes and tidying that need to happen consistently, laundry that needs to stay on top of, organization systems that need an attentive eye, inventory and restocking before we even realize something is running low, errand support, and the occasional school pickup when life calls for it. If you're the kind of person who finds satisfaction in making a household hum, this is the role for you.
You are the kind of professional who doesn't wait to be told what needs to happen. You walk in, you read the room, and you get to work. You notice the paper towels are running low and you handle it. You see the laundry pile and you start a load. You finish the dishes without being reminded. That's just who you are.
You are deeply productive, highly organized, and genuinely detail-oriented. You take quiet pride in doing things well and leaving a space better than you found it. You have a professional, independent working style and you don't need to be managed to perform at your best. You're trustworthy and discreet, and you bring a calm, focused presence to the home — the family feels at ease when you're there, not like they need to check in on you.
You're the kind of person who comes with ideas. If you spot a system that could work better, you bring it up thoughtfully. You take direction well and you know when to act on your own initiative and when to check in. You're adaptable when last-minute needs arise (because in a household with kids and pets, they always do).
You're focused and efficient during your hours, and you take pride in leaving the home in better shape than you found it. You have a warm presence that makes the family feel at ease, and you communicate clearly and proactively without needing to be managed. You bring efficiency, attention to detail, and a genuine investment in making this family's day-to-day life feel lighter and more manageable.
